Mark Rodwell
NHD Electrical Engineering | Durban University of Technology
Mark has more than 30 years of experience designing off-grid power systems for safari lodges across sub-Saharan Africa. His background spans diesel-based hybrid systems, lead-acid energy storage, and the early adoption of solar PV technologies, including low-noise generator solutions for environmentally sensitive locations. Drawing on decades of hands-on field experience, Mark now specialises in delivering robust, fit-for-purpose power systems built with the latest proven technologies and engineered for reliability and long-term performance in remote and demanding environments.

Matthew van der Linden
Pr. Eng and B.Eng Mechatronic Engineering | Stellenbosch University
Matthew is an experienced Senior Design Engineer with over four years in the energy sector. He has acted as Principal Design Engineer on major projects such as GPC Duba Explorers, DDS Leroo La Tau and Sanctuary Baine’s. As a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) and Government Certificated Engineer (GCC), he brings deep technical expertise and strong engineering rigour to every project.

Thomas Waterkeyn
M.Eng Mechatronic Engineering | Stellenbosch University
Thomas is an experienced Lead Design Engineer who has overseen the engineering and delivery of complex solar and hybrid power systems. He has acted as Principal Design Engineer on major projects including Singita Sabi-Sands, DDS Camp Moremi and Grootbos, and has been responsible for the design of multiple megawatt-scale energy systems.

Andre Vorster
Installation Electrician | Department of Labour SA
Andre is the CEO of Eljon Electrical, a leading electrical contracting company based in Hoedspruit, with more than 20 years of experience in the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical systems. With over 15 years of expertise in medium- and low-voltage reticulation, he has delivered reliable electrical infrastructure for bush lodges throughout the Lowveld.
